I also got the set seagull rated. I have had no problem with these beauties. I'll bet that the folks that are having problems with the sockets falling off were using the 1/4" item. If you will notice, most 1/4 drive sockets do not have a detent for the spring loaded ball at the socket drive end. I take any new 1/4" drive sockets to my friendly machinist and have him chuck up the sockets and cut a relief into the socket to accept the locking ball. I have had not problems after the cure with my sockets dropping off of the extensions wobble or not wobble. The first set I had reworked were reliable, well made Channel-Lok sockets.

Finish is bad. It rubs off the first time you use the extension bar. Sometimes the socket falls off the end but higher quality sockets will generally stay on. I have used them in auto repairs and they've worked ok with good sockets. Worth the small amount of money I spent on them. If was in the auto repair business I'd buy a better set.

These have been replaced by item # 67971. Quality has improved- chrome plating is the real deal this go-round (no peeling) and shanks are now knurled. I've pushed my set hard and they've held up well. 1 complaint I have is the degree of "wobble" varies from extension to extension in my set. Poor tolerances, in other words. Makes you feel you're buying some other company's rejects. If you buy these in store, make sure to do your own inspecting before walking out the door to avoid this.

poor finish, brand new they had rust on them. made in China, the India made stuff seems to be better. probably going to return them. not one of Harbor Freight's better products.

These are finished somewhat poorly compared to US brands, but they do work. If you use wobbles in your work I would get US made, but for occasional use these are fine. They aren't for impact tool use - I wouldn't expect them to hold up long if abused that way.

Sorry to disagree with the previous reviewer, but I like these. The price is good, I've had no problems with them staying on the socket or wrench. I've used them both a Milwaukee electric and HF's air drive Earthquake impact wrench and no breakage. I've never used the higher priced ones, so I have no basis for comparison between brands, but these are all I need. I have a couple sets of these in different shops, both are fine.

These are garbage, made the mistake of getting them years ago for my travel box, drive end tolerance soo loose, they don't stay on the ratchet, the wobble end is poor at best. They were so bad, I saw them unworthy of even my junk yard crawl box. I gave them to my neighbor, who probably uses a ratchet once every two years lol. Tools like this are what give HF its bad rep. I expected something like Ampro. I have Ampro wobble extensions is my travel box now which are excellent. Cornwell for the shop box.
