I wouldn't consider this to be a pro tool (not many HF tools are) but for the occasional handyman project it gets the job done. I did 1000sqft of solid bamboo flooring with it and it made pretty consistent and accurate enough cuts without bogging down. As another reviewer said, the dust bag is useless. I found the indexing for the angle cuts off a little, but it was consistent so I was able to adjust for it pretty easily. The index release on the front was rather cheesy and eventually required me to make some minor modifications to it to make it work more reliably.

If I were a professional carpenter or wanting (or able, in my case) to build fine furniture or cabinetry, I would probably buy a Milwaukee or DeWalt etc, but for a handyman like myself, I am quite satisfied with the saw. I purchased it to construct a deck around my pool which entailed many mitered cuts of 2x6's and 5/4, etc. I found the saw to be powerful enough to easily cut through all the boards as well as 4x4's (treated) with no problem. I didn't rush the cuts, just let the blade do the work.
The dust bag is useless and the laser is not useful in direct sunlight. Other than that, I am happy with it.
