As simple as it can be: two pieces of plastic tube and a one way bulb for a pump. Squeeze the bulb and it will force liquid through the tube in only one direction. The bulb even has an arrow to show you the direction of flow. Anyway, squeeze the bulb until the liquid starts to flow, then hold the end of the tube lower than the level of the source and the siphon will drain the source. I got it for $5. Great when you have to drain a tub or a toilet that is blocked. Oh, and yes it will drain gas from a tank too. Tip: use a hair dryer to heat up the tube to uncurl it. It needs to be a least a little straight or it will curl up on itself.
