Same here. Also, the hose will dissolve from solvent type paints. Something is leaking bad from the cap because the screw on fitting is working its way loose. Put a clear plastic bag over the pressure gage and it will be a lot easier to keep clean.
This is the paint gun to lend to your "friend " when they ask to borrow one!

Maybe its just me, but I have tried two of these and never gotten either one to work well. They will spray, but for some reason I have to put a lot of air pressure behind them just to get them to work and even then they didn't work well. Kind of defeats the high volumn low pressure idea and the overspray is just what a standard sprayer would give. Every once in awhile they would just throw a blob of paint for no reason I could ever discern. If your goal is to get some paint on the material and you really don't care what it looks like these are fine. Seems to me that paint sprayers are one of those things that you get what you pay for and I haven't really found any bargains that do a good job.
