Good for light use. The hex metal is soft, so if you aren't careful to fully insert them into the hex you will quickly round the end. This is readily fixed with a bench grinder.

when used as they are intended these work very well.I havent broken any of the handles, but I do my torquing with a regular allen wrench.

A good place to start with a set of wrenches. They won't take a whole lot of torque before the plastic handle will twist loose from the steel hex side of things, but generally work well in a reasonably convenient organized holder. When one breaks loose I just weld on a small piece of heavy tubing or small pipe to replace the plastic and its good to go again. I also have some shorter than the originals from grinding them off when they round off. I'd rather have the wrench round off than the inside of the allen head bolt or screw, though. And probably as much from trying to use an SAE wrench in a close metric bolt or visa versa. I like them. Much better than the ones made in India.

I have the SAE set and if these is anything like the that one i might just go and get it before the sale ends (6.99) I do expect that just like my SAE set i can't use it for heavy or tough bolts but for opening up random things it should do the job great. The SAE set though shows wear on the hex profile (due to the chinese metal its made off) but if that happens I just take it to the grinder and grind off the bad part. Slightly shorter but good as new. Im basing it off the SAE set.

I have this set and the SAE set and other than one when the handle broke off on a tight bolt they've worked well.
