Do not buy. Will not line up. Holes are off. Junk!

Giving this a 5 for value - as others have said this is 1/4 the price of other options. I picked it up for $13 with coupon.

The instructions don't detail this but if you'r finding (like Bigplanz) that hole isn't centered, this is totally adjustable. You simply need to loosen the two screws and washers on the back face, and turn the adjusting nut (the large nut that the washers keep from spinning when tight) so that the rear face matches the front face. I clamped it to a board, and used a digital calipers to set it perfectly.

Yes it should be calibrated from the factory, but for $13 who's complaining?

Bad, bad and bad. Thhe holes were centered in the middle of the board but 1/8 inch off along the width of the board. I can freehand dowels better than that. Leave it on the shelf and stick with dowel pin and a steady hand.

Yes its GREASY but as txgunnut said woodworking shops sell pretty much the same thing for $60 and upwards. I scored with ITC for $8.99 and can't complain a bit!

I agree with the above post. I paid 16.00 for it w/o a coupon, if you look at a fine woodworking Co. like Rockler they sell these things for 60.00 and up and they look very similar to this set. Its true that HF greases up these for packaging. Its like they dunked it in a bowl of grease but thats ok, id rahter it be rust free than pitted! Excellent buy!

Great thing to have if your ever doing some doweling pin holes I just attach these to my workpiece and tighten it in. Perfect self-centering and 90 degree so perfect for making joints that require dowel pins. Only gripe is that when i got it opened the box i got my jig and HF's trade mark tube of grease/oil (They seriously over grease/oil things) so after wiping off the excess i put it to the test. Those sleeves that are screwed into the jig, well it seems that they purposely made it super snug I had to just go slow and drill on through to enlarge the hole before i could drill into my project. But once done they fit super smooth to that bit.
