Bought it for $5. Magnet isn't that strong but strong enough to pick up nails, screws, nuts, etc. I gave it to my 5 year daughter when we got home and told her to wave it over the grass in the backyards. 5 minutes later she had collected a dozen rusty nails and deck screws.

Yeah it works. :)
