Review by Bigplanz on January 18th, 2017 I weight about 200 pounds, and this holds me and rolls easily around under the SUV. I use it when I have to get under my Navigator when I drive it up on ramps. It is low enough for me to get under the vehicle and I can take care of whatever task is at hand as long as I am under the engine/transmission. My vehicle has a lot of ground clearance even just sitting on its wheels, so you might need to jack up you car and put jack stands under it to get it high enough to use the creeper. Please don't get under a vehicle supported by just a jack!! That's suicidal behavior! Always use stands and or ramps and block the wheels!
I gave about $24 for it, with a coupon. Works well, rolls smooth (so far). Well worth it if you don't like wiggling around under a car. I am close to 60, so my knees and back appreciate this creeper! Review by Ericfap on August 3rd, 2011 According to the description, this creeper is rated for 300 pounds. I weigh 287 so I bought this one instead of the lower rated steel creeper. The first time I used it I wasn't able to roll around. When I stood up to inspect the creeper, I thought I had a rock under one of the wheels. I found that when I sat down on it the plastic on both sides broke allowing the wheels to flex out. Thus the bottom of the creeper was rubbing the concrete.
I figured since it was new I would just all customer service. I was then shuffled over to Technical Service where I was told that no parts were available for repairs. I asked where does that leave me? They said I would have to purchase another one that they would not warrant this item. So I asked the technician to speak with a supervisor. I didn't feel that this was good customer service for a $30.00 item. I was told the supervisor was in a meeting and would be for several more hours. I requested that the Supervisor call me back. Four days later - still no returned phone call.
What I thought would happen was a full replacement of an equal or better creeper.
I had a similar experience with my Kindle. I stuck my Kindle in my back pocket and then sat on it. I called Kindle(Amazon) and asked what a new screen replacement cost would be. They asked me how it happened and I told them I broke it. They said they would replace my Kindle with a new one at no cost to me! (A $100.00+ item THAT I BROKE.)They even sent me the new one allowing me to ship mine back in their return labeled box. NOW THAT IS WHAT I CALL GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I guess that is the difference between a SOLID customer oriented store versus one that isn't. One company that foresees the potential for future continued sales versus a company that does not care if any future purchases are made. This is the last item I will purchase from Harbor Freight. Too bad because their low quality tools have a definite niche for home owners and beginners. Just not my niche anymore! Review by djbecker on July 22nd, 2010 A well-considered design, and it has outlasted the two previous creepers. The curved surface is very comfortable and allows a low rise from the ground while using larger caster wheels. The tool compartments are right where your hands fall, and the upper section has clearance for your shoulders. The mostly-plastic construction allows fast cleaning with a pressure washer.
The only change I could suggest is a second hand-hold at the head rest so that the creeper can be hung head-up
The previous creepers had a back support of thin plywood. It eventually cracked, and their small casters never rolled well. This creeper avoids the problem of a heavy drop while awkwardly sitting on it by flexing and bottoming out, which also limits the usable weight to perhaps 300lbs. Review by warezdog on April 23rd, 2010 ITC sale for $14.99 and worth every penny. Much sturdier than you would think too. Review by pidass on April 15th, 2010 excellent price, works great for me as a driveway mechanic. Post a Review
