Just bought this today with a 20% coupon. Worked flawlessly straight out of the box - no tune up or alignment needed. No vibration or chatter. Solid cast iron fram and ways. Cannot say enough good about it. Bought it to turn hammer handles and filials (plus it keeps my 8x12 metal lathe clean - no wood chips).

I've had this lathe for two years and it works great. I turn pens on it all the time and have turned a lot of other stuff too. I wish the doors that cover the belts had snap covers instead of the thumb screws, but otherwise it has been great. It is as good as the jet my brother has and a lot cheaper.
