Review by Goomer on July 30th, 2013 I've had this for a number of years now, and it is quite a workhorse. Last night I heat welded some PVC single ply roofing together, about 20 lineal feet and this did the job, nonstop. I needed a flattened nozzle for it and discovered that a scrap piece of chainlink fence pipe is a perfect fit to the outside diameter of the heat gun nozzle. Flattened out a piece with my HF arbor press and viola! So, this heavy duty heat gun handled the restriction with no problem, its worked for years and showed no sign of slowing down. I've used name brand commercial guns in the past and this looks and feels identical. It is heavy, no lightweight piece of equipment. The base is a very handy addition. Review by JoBo on April 1st, 2011 I replace the cheaper orange heat gun that died with this one. In a previous job I used an old US made gun this one seems to be a copy of. It is not the quality of the 50 year old US one, what is anymore, but miles ahead of the cheaper orange one that died.
I've used it on heat shrink tubing, softening plastic for bending and super fst paint drying. I find this a good tool for the $$.
