These work fine. They are comparable to the ones you find on-line and at Autozone, etc. The main good thing about them is the price, of course. Less than $50 with a coupon. I have used them on my wife's van, my SUV and just yesterday on a friend's Aveo. Tip: be sure to fully open the connectors when you attach the fittings to the high and low ports. That way, refrigerant won't spray out. Then close the fittings, as needed. READ THE MANUAL.

These make diagnosis of AC issues pretty straight-forward, and can let you do a full vacuum evacuation and recharge if you have the skill set for that job. 5 stars if you catch it on-sale, with a coupon.

These along with the venture vac and a can or two of HF 134a made my recharge job under $80 and made ice cold air. These are easy to use and have all the fittings you'll need. I called around for AC service and $80 would barely give me a diagnosis and of course you'll be told you need a new dryer, or have a leak, blah blah blah. It blew cold ALL summer long and if next summer it doesn't I'll just vac it down again and add a $20 can of HF 134 and be good another year!

I've had issues with the hose fittings leaking, but cranking them down with pliers works.

Probably not pro quality, but functional and a good price. Whole set costs less than the quick connects alone from some other vendors. It's a little tough to get everything back into the case for compact storage, but it can be done. Does not come with a can tap. You need the simple can tap with the male threads, not the quick connect fitting. I had to go to several auto parts stores to find one. Autozone had one for about $7. I wish HF had one on the shelf next to this set.

I paid about $40 for these. They work great, I've used them many times. I had to replace the o-rings in the quick couplers, no big deal. The case is flimsy, but I screwed a couple of brass hinges into it and it's still holding up. I'm pretty sure these are made by Intermatic, or at least the hoses are. The low pressure knob is getting a bit loose. I don't know if there's a set screw, but the gauges are fully functional. I like the Schrader valve on the suction line and the fittings on the ends to store the hoses and keep crud out of the couplers. The rubber protector is a nice bonus.

not pro quality, but great for the weekend wrencher. Only downside is the gauges are primarily metric and the US measurements are in the smallest circle and harder to read. The case is worthless, who disassembles their gauges every time they want to put them away?
