Battery life is mediocre, but does well enough for around-the-house work. Get two batteries if you're using it most of the day and keep one in the charger.

The charger is the weak point on this drill, it doesn't stop charging when the battery is charged. Left the battery in the charger and fried it, kind of makes the drill worthless now. Sooner or later you will forget the battery in the charger. Maybe put it on a timer?

Just picked this drill up for 18 bucks at my local HF. It was in a combo kit with a flashlight. For the price I could care less if if it fell apart after a couple of months of use. Don't leave the battery in the charger for too long and you'll be fine.
