Review by mylob on November 20th, 2011 I have two of these and have used and abused them well. They put out about 46 volts open circuit but the amperage is low. They are wired in series so that they can charge 24 volt equipment. If you are not going to use them with 18 to 24 volt equipment or systems then you can re-wire them from series to parallel by clipping the two wires and re-wiring them. If you have done it correctly then your volt meter ($4.00 at HF) should read 23 and the amperage should double, therefore enabling faster charge times for 12 volt systems or equipment. I use these to charge my RV batteries when camping (although I'm installing a "real" solar system on the roof of the trailer). The kit comes with a good selection of connectors, clips and outlets which are nice for rigging improvised projects. Post a Review
