Review by Aaron on May 26th, 2013 The company I was working for at the time bought me three of these to replace three of an older model after the shop got broken into. I was laid off at the time so I didn't find out that they were hand grenades until after the warrenty was up. Two of them have given up the ghost; run great up to the point where the motor still turns, but the chuck doesn't. Waiting for the third one. Maybe I'll tear them down and see if I can make a runner out of the remains of the dead.... Review by skulldrinker on April 15th, 2013 I bought this because I needed a drill quick at my new job. It's first use was drilling out a broken 1/2 bolt and immediately after that the easy-out snapped and it to had to be drilled out. I made sure I oiled it up good since it was brand new. During the easy-out drilling i noticed a drop in RPM's and kind of knew it was on it way out. Well I done I threw it back in drawer and forgot about it. The next job was a busted wheel stud that needed to be drilled out. About 3 minutes into the job the chuck froze up solid. I had to switch over to my electric drill to finish the job. I had bought the warranty on this drill so I went and got it exchanged for a new one. I haven't used the new one yet so I'm waiting to see what happens. I really wanted to give it a #3 rating but it was only used twice before breaking. The two times were really heavy duty jobs so I'm giving it a #2. Maybe I need to remember to treat it as a lighter duty drill.
PS the HF colbolt drills went through the hardened easy-out like a knife through butter. Post a Review
