Review by crh7647 on January 2nd, 2010 I put down about 1000 sqft of 3/4" prefinished Oak flooring in my home with this item about a year ago. I can't remember how many L-cleat nails I went through, but if memory serves it was about 8000. In total, I had 2 jams that were both easily cleared in less than a minute.
A Bostich nailer goes for about $500. A weekend rental (near me) from Home Depot of a flooring nailer is ~$70. Based on my experiences with this gun, I feel at $140 (or less if you have one of the common 20% off coupons) an absolute steal for the DIY'er. Don't get me wrong-if I were going to put flooring down for a living, I'd buy the big name gun. But for me, this one was a very smart investment. Review by psj12 on October 28th, 2009 Used this to install bamboo floors throughout my home. I had some early feed issues that required dissassembly of the nose but after some minor adjustments to the nose and some wear it settled down and worked from that point without a problem.
