Best heat gun iver ever had. A friend of mine picked this one up to fix his ps3 (dont laugh, it worked!). After borrowing it i went and got my own! Works better than the name brand one i had in my shop!

One of the best performing tools i have bought at HF!

I bought two. One went 'dead' within days after the warranty expired. HF refused to do anything about it.

This is not the first Chicago Electric product to 'screw me. Read on about Automatic Battery Float Charger, item #42292...

I bought three of these Chicago Electric chargers from Harbor Freight this past year. I read the included instructions and hooked up each charger exactly as stated in the instructions. I also made sure that each battery was above 12 volts DC as stated in the instructions.

Today, I went out to start prepping each motorcycle for the annual Polar Biker's Ride that we participate in each year. All three chargers had their respective red LED still lit. However, when I put the key into each bike and turned it, I found ALL THREE MOTORCYCLES TO HAVE COMPLETELY DEAD BATTERIES!!!

Each battery was no more than three months old when I hooked up this charger. Now I have one battery that is still good, one battery that has an internally shorted cell, and one battery that gave me a 'Desulfate' or 'Replace' code from my computerized charger/booster!

These chargers are NOT worth the money you save; it cost me two nearly new batteries. Harbor Freight (Chicago Electric) says that the chargers are out of the 90 day warranty, and I am out two batteries and the cost of three chargers.

This is not the first problem I have encountered with Chicago Electric products. I also had a heat gun quit on me, just after the warranty ran out. The reply was basically the same when I contact Harbor Freight about it!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! GOODBYE CHICAGO ELECTRIC! HELLO, AGAIN, CRAFTSMAN!!!

Bought this Heat Gun for $8, and it does exactly what it is supposed to do. I do soldering all the time, and this thing is absolutely terrific for heatshrink. It shrinks it very fast, but does not get it so hot that it will burn. Highly recommended!

It works, and it was 8 bucks... what else do you want?

I have the previous model of this heat gun which is no longer available. This looks like the same heat gun with a different casing. I have used this heat gun outside in the dead cold of winter and it still worked great. I use it for heat shrink mostly but, recently I have used it to apply sound deadening to the inside of a car.

I use this heat gun about once a week and it has work flawlessly. It is a great value.
